Ted Williams is my name and carving with a chainsaw is my passion. I focus primarily on carving bears, bear benches and bear signs. I also enjoy carving eagles, owls, beavers, foxes, totem poles and other forms of wildlife. All carvings are chainsaw carved from white pine, for the most part.
I am a native Canadian from the Chippewas of Rama, home of Casino Rama. As a native leader over the past 30 years, my experience also includes serving as a member of council, and holding the position of Chief of my community. Additionally I have held positions in my community in social services, recreation, economic development, as well as manager and Chairman of the Casino Rama development. I am also a consultant and professional golfer to compliment my chainsaw artistry.
Stump Carvings
I enjoy doing stump carvings which, entails coming to your home, cottage, or place of business. This involves carving the tree that has come down due to a storm, or a tree deemed dangerous to your dwelling and partially left up (stump), bringing the stump to life and giving it character. Carvings range in height (from 2 ft up to 14 ft depending on the size of the tree) and depend on what can be carved best utilizing the the shape of the tree.
